No reading should ever take the place of studying God’s word. If you find yourself studying something and the time it takes to study steals time from building a personal relationship with God through reading his word, then reconsider your approach. All study should build a deeper relationship with Jesus. The below list is by no means an exhaustive list, but intended to share some research that others have found helpful.
John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
